I’m A Man is the second song on my upcoming EP. On it’s own it’s a straightforward boasting song, inspired by old blues tunes like Mannish Boy and Hoochie Coochie Man. On the EP it’s paired with the opening track, which lyrically is it’s mirror image, hopefully putting I’m A Man in a different perspective.

Musically I wanted to write something just as straightforward as the lyrics. At the time I was listening to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ Greatest Hits a lot, and that became a big influence on the music.
